A place out west, although not quite all the way, and a bit to the north for some. Part legend, part reality, where the deer and the turkeys wander freely, the thistle grows rampantly, and below the surface the gophers gnaw rapaciously. Taking life and being taken in return, their quiet struggle goes on, largely ignored by anyone with anything better to do. Much like this definition.
